The long-awaited launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is finally here. The portable version of our favorite battle royale is going to be released on March 21, 2024, on Android and iOS. After Call of Duty Mobile, this is going to be the second major mobile installment from this long-reigning FPS franchise. But the question is, will it bring back the OG Call of Duty glory days?
As things stand, it might do. To start with that, fans will be getting their favorite Verdansk map back. COD players have been eagerly waiting since 2021 for this popular map, but every time they were disappointed. Now, the tables have turned, thanks to numerous requests from the fans.
Verdansk is Back with Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile
Last year, fans saw Activision made COD: Warzone Mobile a limited release throughout. As soon as the release date is confirmed, a lot of new features and content will be added to the game. One of them is the addition of Verdansk. It seems Activision has paid heed to the millions of pleadings from the fans. Here are some:

Verdansk was a popular map in Call of Duty: Warzone. At the time of the release of COD Vangurad‘s Season 1 in 2021, Verdansk was replaced by Caldera. Since then, Warzone has gone through four maps, but there is no sign of Verdansk.
As of now, the OG map is coming only to the mobile version; there is no official confirmation of the PC and console versions yet. However, it is rumored to make a return in Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops: Gulf War at the end of 2024.
What Can Fans Expect from Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile?
Verdansk in Warzone Mobile will be the same as in the PC version. This map will support up to 120 players. Once eliminated from the battle royale, you will be sent to play a 1v1 duel in Gulag. If you win that, you can rejoin the battle royale.
There will be another map called Rebirth Island. Compared to the former one, this map is a lot smaller and will support a maximum of 48 players. Unlike Verdansk, you will respawn once eliminated as long as one of your teammates is alive.
Along with the battle royale mode, fans will get classic COD game modes like Team Death Match, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, Domination, and many more. The fun doesn’t end here, as OG minimaps like Scrapyard, Shipment, Kill House, etc. will join the party too.
However, the most exciting aspect of the game has to be the cross-progression feature. If you are logged into the same Activision ID, all your in-game progress, like earned XP, weapon leveling, and battle pass progression, will be shared across the Warzone Mobile version as well as the PC and Console versions.
So, that’s all from our end. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is coming with Verdansk on March 21, 2024.
