This is especially true in countries outside of the US where consoles may not be common, but smartphones are in everyone’s hands. As such, it makes sense for Warzone to have a mobile edition as well, and now we also have a confirmed release date.

The trailer was uploaded to the official Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile YouTube channel and showed the typical CoD-style tropes. There are lots of guns in the back of a cargo plane, with a screen showing a countdown. The climax of the trailer is the countdown screen showing 21.03.2024. So, Call of Duty fans can expect Warzone mobile to be available on 21 March this year.

An interesting bit right after the reveal of the title is the shot of a mobile phone receiving a call. The call appears to be from Verdansk, one of the most popular maps in the console and PC version of Warzone. This could be hinting at one of the first, or the biggest map, available in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile at launch.

Activision Blizzard had confirmed previously that Warzone Mobile would release sometime in Spring. The game is going to be fundamentally different from Call of Duty Mobile. Warzone Mobile is linked to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone progression and will allow players to easily jump between the three games to enjoy at home or on the go. Warzone Mobile is also going to feature certain maps and game modes from the traditional Call of Duty multiplayer.

Warzone Mobile is Already Impressing Fans of the Series

Some clips have already started floating on social media showing matches being played in Warzone Mobile. One thing a lot of fans are shocked with is the graphical quality of the game. For a mobile platform, the game looks amazing, almost as good as the console version of some Call of Duty games. But, will it suffer the same issues as the original? That remains to be seen.

People in Australia, Chile, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Malaysia were able to access a beta version of Warzone Mobile. Players who pre-registered for the game will also be getting exclusive content such as a Ghost skin, weapon blueprints, and more.

The scale of Warzone Mobile is also truly impressive, with battle royale matches able to fit 120 active players. We expect the graphical quality will see a bit of a downgrade in battle royale mode. With over 45 million pre-registered users, the Warzone Mobile servers have their work cut out for them come D-Day. The game will be available on both iOS and Android.
