The latest patch notes for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were released on March 13 and have made changes in terms of spawning. Skridrow in Hardpoint mode has received additional spawn points to decrease the chances of an “unfavorable flip.” The developers have also shared their insights on the spawn traps and the additional spawn points.

The developers explained that spawn selection is an important factor in avoiding spawn traps. If a player dies soon after respawning at one spawn point, that point is deprioritized for some time, and when there are not enough spawn points, it increases the chances of spawn flips. The developers added that with the addition of more spawn points, the chances of spawn traps have now decreased.

Spawn traps have been a big issue for players in online matches as they were unfavorable with players being able to predict the spawn and gain an upper hand on the opponents. However, it should be fixed now as more spawn points are added and provide a competitive battleground.

Additional Changes With the Season 2 Patch Notes

The latest patch update has nerfed the Haymaker’s JAK Maglift Kit by increasing its minimum hipfire spread by 40% and maximum hipfire spread by 41%. The tactical stance spread has also been increased from 3deg/s to 4.2deg/s. The Longbow sniper rifle has also been nerfed with the increase in aim-down sight time by 21%, and 30% of its hipfire spread benefit has been removed.

The update has revised the attachment description of some weapon attachments to reveal proper statistics. For example, the Sprint Speed description for FR Sprinter and Recon Stock Pad Stocks has been replaced with Tactical Sprint Speed. Moreover, the JAK Glassless Optic has been restricted from Ranked Play in Modern Warfare 3, and crash and stability fixes have also been added.

Several fixes have also been made to the progression, such as the issue where the Gilded Mastery Challenge for the SOA Subverter did not display the right requirements, which has been fixed, and the Priceless Camo Challenge for the SOA Subverter can now be tracked properly.

Some issues have also been handled in Zombies, like the Elder Sigils will now drop in the New Season 2 Dark Aether Rift even if players haven’t completed the Season 1 Dark Aether Rift, Containment Levels will knock back a Tier if a player leaves the match, and Containment Levels will not be knocked back while exfiling from Dark Aether Rifts.
