Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the franchise’s latest entry and carries all the latest bells and whistles including game modes made by Activision. The competitive nature of the video game has inspired many sweats in the community to not only try harder but do the impossible.
Gunfire and combat are the lifeblood of the series but one player pulled off an impressive feat by achieving the 10th Prestige without eliminating anyone. It is rather difficult given how many players have trained to be the best among the rest but this player took a pacifistic approach.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Player Is a Prestigious Pacifist
Imagining the number of opponents Pilgore1 has encountered in matches, all aiming to eliminate him while he cannot retaliate due to his self-imposed challenge of reaching the 10th Prestige through conflict avoidance, is indeed a daunting task. Pilgore1 is the epitome of anything possible if a person possesses the discipline and sheer will.
Even pacifists can reach 10th prestige.

The win and loss ratio above is quite ideal and the stats of Pilgore1 are quite rare to come by. No matter how broken or nerfed some weapons can be in the game, players are in total control and accountable for their actions. The player also revealed his modest loadout which included the not-so-popular riot shield but it seemed appropriate for his impossible task to protect himself from harm.
For a game that romanticizes the concept of combat and warfare, some choose to take the path that is less traveled and deviate from the core idea of the game. The efforts of Pilgore1 seemed futile but they did not end in vain and has proven that no eliminations or kills are necessary to achieve the high honor of the 10th Prestige.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Players Are Built Different
While competition is good for the character, Activision is planning to include far more competitive game modes inspired by other franchises. One dataminer has uncovered footage of an upcoming game mode that is inspired by Ghostrunner.
Regardless of how other members of the gaming community with a more prominent voice like Dr. Disrespect feel towards the Activision heads and how the company chooses to market the franchise, it should not take away from the achievements of skilled individuals.
It is unfortunate to see a beloved franchise like Call of Duty being laid waste by negativity which is not entirely unjustified given the evidence backed up by the developers’ track record of making hypocritical decisions. Pilgore1’s entire run of receiving the 10th Prestige is a proof of concept that it all greatly depends on the player’s skill and dedication.
Perhaps other players in the lobby are far more deadlier and accustomed to combat but there are a few other approaches like bobbing and weaving and doing their best to stay out of the firefight and violence.
