The latest Call of Duty title was not exactly met with the ideal reception by both critics and players alike, especially because of its extremely short and uninspired single-player campaign. However, its multiplayer mode and Warzone still have a significant number of gamers, and that is one of the only reasons why the rebooted Modern Warfare 3 is still somehow alive.
That is not to say that even this mode is not riddled with problems, as fans have been requesting CoD developers to fix a long-term problem with it for a while, but no one has come up with a solution yet.
Now, it is up to Sledgehammer Games to get back into the fanbase’s good graces by finally fixing the annoying issue.
People Are Tired of Other Players Stealing Their Finishing Moves in Call of Duty Multiplayer
A player went over to the Modern Warfare 3 subreddit and expressed their frustration regarding one specific problem in Call of Duty‘s multiplayer mode. Accompanied by gameplay footage as an example, the Reddit user stated that “it should be illegal to kill steal finishing moves.”
In the attached video, an enemy player gets attacked by a team member of the uploader, and just as the former is about to taste sweet death and the latter prepares their ultimate finishing move to end the opponent’s life once and for all, the enemy player gets shot by another squad member.
That is completely unfair for players who strategize and patiently build up towards an amazing kill while playing Warzone, only for their moment of glory to be taken away by somebody else who did not put nearly the same amount of effort into earning that final shot.
Which is why players are imploring Sledgehammer Games to take notice of this major issue, as MW3 is not even the first CoD title to feature this problem, and the franchise’s multiplayer mode has been plagued with it for years.
A horrible campaign is somewhat forgivable, but something as annoying as this simply is not.
Titanfall Seems to Have Figured the Solution Out Before MW3
Other CoD players flocked to the Reddit post and agreed with the fact that “the person being killed should be immune to all bullet damage while it’s happening,” which should take care of the finishing move stealing issue.
In response to that, another player mentioned how Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall is a much better alternative to MW3‘s multiplayer since its community does not have to face this horribly unfair problem.
If a game from nearly eight years ago can come up with a solution for this long-term CoD feature, why is it taking so long for Sledgehammer Games to fix it?
