In 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier fans saw that Steve Rogers / Captain America is still adjusting to contemporary society two years after the event of The Avengers (2012). It was revealed that 350 different versions of the film were made, some in different formats for theatrical releases while some scenes were adjusted for release in different parts of the world. For example, in the opening scene of the movie, fans get a glimpse of Rogers’ notebook where he jots down all the things/places he has to explore.
For the UK version, the first item on the list was “TV Show – Sherlock,” which is quite confusing as two main cast members of the Sherlock TV series are already a part of the MCU. Many jokes have been made about this over the years as Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have played central roles in both franchises.

The first item on the UK list was the Sherlock TV series, which featured Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as main characters, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor John Watson respectively. This has created many jokes as these two actors also play a key role in the MCU, creating confusion. Cumberbatch portrayed Doctor Strange while Freeman portrayed Everett K. Ross in the franchise.
350 versions of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) were made
It was revealed during production that 350 versions of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) were made and as per Yahoo! News, the last 5 things on Rogers’ list remained unchanged for the rest of the world but the first 5 things were changed in different countries like the United States of America, Spain, Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Latin America, Russia, and Korea.
Marvel held online polls allowing fans from these countries to select the items they wanted to be featured in each country’s release. Rogers certainly had a lot of things to explore but his journey came to an end in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, so his chapter is closed, for now.
