Cara Delevingne has certainly seen her fame grow in the last few years thanks to the supermodel featuring in some high-profile films and television shows. However, Delevingne’s friendship with the likes of Taylor Swift and Rihanna is also a testament to her fame. Despite this, Delevingne has a history of feuding with other celebs, including a surprising spat with a Marvel star.
Delevingne exchanged some hard words with actor Richard Madden over social media back in the day. The heated argument stemmed from Madden calling out Delevingne for her unprofessional behavior while promoting one of her films. However, Delevingne hit back at Madden with humiliating words. Here is what happened between Cara Delevingne and Richard Madden and why they feuded.
Cara Delevingne Fired at Richard Madden For Calling Her Unprofessional
Back in 2015, Cara Delevingne had a brief spat with actor Richard Madden, known for playing Robb Stark in the fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. Delevingne had appeared on a morning talk show to promote her upcoming movie. However, the actress interacted awkwardly with the hosts resulting in the interview going viral.
Delevingne’s sarcasm was seen as rude and unprofessional during her interaction with the hosts. In an interview with Style magazine, Richard Madden reportedly commented on Delevingne’s interview calling her unprofessional and ungrateful. However, Delevingne was less than pleased with the former Game of Thrones star’s comments on her professional conduct.
Delevingne hit back at Madden through a now-deleted tweet which read as follows:
“I have no idea who you are but I think it’s little desperate for a grown man to be bad-mouthing someone they don’t know . . . if you really want attention that badly, try focusing on your own work and not other people’s.”
As the tweet suggests, Delevingne was clearly unhappy with Madden’s comments and responded with scathing and humiliating words aimed at the actor.
Richard Madden Claimed He Was Misquoted Following Delevingne’s Viral Interview
Following Delevingne’s response to his comments, Madden also took to Twitter (now X) to clarify his stance. The Eternals star stated that he had nothing but respect for Delevingne and claimed that his statement was misquoted and blown out of proportion. Thus, Madden seemingly ended the feud between him and Delevingne with the apology tweet.
The interview Madden commented on took place in 2015 when Cara Delevingne was a rising star in Hollywood. She starred in Paper Towns, an adaptation of best-selling novelist John Green’s book of the same name. While promoting her movie on the talk show Good Day Sacramento, Delevingne answered a few questions with sarcasm, offending hosts Mark S. Allen and Marianne McClary.

Delevingne later clarified her stance by stating that she was being sarcastic and implied the hosts did not understand sarcasm. In a separate tweet, Delevingne refused to apologize for the incident while denying the notion that she was unappreciative and ungrateful. After the controversial interview sparked a spat between Delevingne and Madden, the duo hasn’t publically interacted with each other and is yet to feature together in any projects.
