Chainsaw Man season 2 and movie won’t have Ryu Nakayama as the director

Although Chainsaw Man season one didn’t perform well in terms of Blu-ray sales and the Japanese audience didn’t like the direction of the show, fans from around the world loved the work of Ryu.

Instead of just adapting the manga 1:1, he decided to add his flair to the anime and gave us many new and exciting shots, which fans appreciated very much. His direction style is one of the best in the industry and fans loved his work in season one.

Many people were excited to see how much improved Season Two and the upcoming Chainsaw Man: Reze ARC movie would be under Ryu, but unfortunately, he won’t be a part of it.

It was announced a few days ago that Ryu Nakamaya won’t be returning for Chainsaw Man season two as well as the upcoming Chainsaw Man: Reze ARC movie as he has created his own studio.

The studio is titled Andraft, which also had staff like Oshi no Ko unit animation director Kenji Segawa, Attack on Titan animator Fumika Ito, and more

What’s happening in Chainsaw Man?

The Chainsaw Man manga is on a very heated run at the moment, with each passing chapter getting more and more intense and getting the viewers submerged in the story.

Recent chapters saw the comeback of the old Denji, who wanted to become a hero but surpassed his desire to seek a normal high school life.

He lives with Nayuta, who is the reincarnation of the control devil but has not awakened fully like Makima so far. Denji and Nayuta share a very jolly bond like a family, have many pets as well, and enjoy their time together.
