When Fujimoto was in college, a fellow collegemate was troubling him and bullying him. One might expect his reaction to that being of fear or anger. However, it was neither of them. The writer often refers to himself as a masochist, so when he found the woman bullying him, he actually enjoyed it. The more she bullied him, the more he liked it. It was at that moment that he realized that he had a liking for much intimidating and “tough and unreasonable” women, as he puts it. From then on, he decided to incorporate his preferences into his own works, although it took a rather long time to perfect his works.
