Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again has been one of the highly anticipated MCU series. The show was first announced in 2022 and has been through several production halts, from the writers’ strike to the recent creative overhaul under which the Marvel Head, Kevin Feige, fired the show’s writers. Amid all this, sources have now revealed that it will serve as a soft reboot for Netflix’s fan-favorite series Daredevil, which also featured Charlie Cox and ran for three seasons.
Daredevil: Born Again is Reportedly a Soft Reboot For the Netflix Series
A new update related to Charlie Cox’s upcoming show is poised to be another significant blow to Marvel fans. Industry Insider TimeToShineHello has recently claimed that Daredevil: Born Again would allegedly be a “soft reboot” of the Netflix series.
“It will share some of its cast members and their history while others will not,” the insider said in her post. It allegedly implies that the Disney+ series might not follow up with some of the well-established characters that fans have grown to love.
Recent reports have also claimed that Deborah Ann Woll, who played Karen Page in the Netflix series, was not even considered for the upcoming Marvel series. The upcoming MCU series starring Charlie Cox has recently been a hot topic of discussion among fans due to its creative overhaul.

Marvel president Kevin Feige earlier fired Chris Ord and Matt Corman, the writers of the show, along with the directors commissioned for the season. And the studio has finally found a new team for the show, who reportedly have deep ties with other Marvel projects.
Daredevil: Born Again Finds New Showrunners
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daredevil: Born Again has landed its new creative team after Chris Ord and Matt Corman were fired from the show. The new team includes Dario Scardapane, writer and executive producer of The Punisher.
The directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who have worked on Marvel’s Moon Knight and Loki Season 2, have joined the production as lead directors for the rest of the season. Corman and Ord will be associated with the show as executive producers. Reports claim that the studio plans to keep some of the scenes and episodes that have already been shot.
Dario Scardapane will reportedly work on new episodes of the show incorporating what has already been shot. The series was originally expected to have 18 episodes. However, after the recent changes, it is unclear how many episodes it will have. Born Again has also seen a delay in its release and is expected to be released in early 2025.
