One of the most anticipated upcoming Marvel projects is Daredevil: Born Again. Compared to the Netflix production Daredevil, the show has recently been called a “soft reboot.” The show was announced all the way back in July 2022. However, it faced a production pause due to the writer’s strike.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Feige, the Marvel Studio president fired the two writers of Daredevil: Born Again. Also, though Charlie Cox is set to reprise his role as Daredevil, fans are shocked to know that Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll is not a part of the show. And that has made fans upset.
Fans React to Kevin Feige’s One Decision
According to CanWeGetSomeToast and Daredevil Updates on Twitter, Karen Page played by Deborah Ann Woll was never even considered for the upcoming “creative reboot.” And, Marvel fans are surprised to learn that.
They say that this is Kevin Feige’s sole decision. And they claim that that’s why he needs to go.
BRUH. KAREN PAGE WAS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SHOW. In a lot of ways she was the bigger hero. And let’s be honest Deborah is absolutely gorgeous, the camera loves her, and her chemistry with Charlie is off the charts.

I’m so glad they are starting over with the show. Hopefully they bring back Karen Page. It would be odd not to bring her back. Fingers crossed

Daredevil: Born Again is still happening but there’s obviously no word on a premiere date.
Why Kevin Feige Fired the Head Writers of Daredevil: Born Again?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel execs, including President Kevin Feige, during the writers’ strike production break in mid-June evaluated shot footage from the soft reboot and decided that the “show wasn’t working.”
And, Kevin Feige let go of head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman, as well as the rest of the directors commissioned for the season.
The article said,
“Sources say that Corman and Ord crafted a legal procedural that did not resemble the Netflix version, known for its action and violence. Cox didn’t even show up in costume until the fourth episode. Marvel, after greenlighting the concept, found itself needing to rethink the original intention of the show.”
The choice is being made as Kevin Feige’s Disney+ streaming productions struggle to match the MCU’s heyday.
