No doubt being a superhero requires a lot of hard work. That hard work can be physical, mental, or both. Well, the same happened with the Superman star, Henry Cavill. The actor has to go under a super transformation to play the character of Superman. From hours of workout sessions to a fixed calories diet with no fat, he had to make a habit of following the schedule provided by his fitness trainers.

Training in Gym Jones

To fit the role of the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill joined an exclusive gym, which is known for training athletes, military personnel, and the cast of 300. The exclusive gym is none other than Gym Jones. It is known for its strict schedule and concentration training. Unlike regular gyms, it does not have televisions, mirrors, machines, and comfort.

Henry Cavill trained for two and a half hours a day, pushing his body for more and more. Talking about his workout he said, “I am pushing two and a half hours a day, pushing my body beyond its normal limits.”

The trainer also used one of his special techniques called the Tailpipe. Twight named the workout routine based on the after feeling of the workout. According to him, “When you’re done it feels like you’ve been sucking a Tailpipe of a car.” Cardio was also a part of his workout.

Nine to Ten Hours of Sleep Per Day for Five Months

The trainer not only made sure he did not give up but also kept full parameters of Cavill’s health. According to Cavill, his trainer told him to get 9 to 10 hours of sleep every day for five months of training.

He said, “If you don’t get the sleep, if you can’t recover, then we can’t continue with this training and we won’t achieve this objective.”
