Sebastian Stan Roasts His DC Counterparts

Marvel star Sebastian Stan who plays the pivotal role of Bucky Barnes in the Captain America films, made no bones about expressing his opinion on his rival counterparts from the DC universe. The star who plays Captain America actor Chris Evans’ best friend, and later a dark avenging anti-hero, was quick to roast fellow superheroes Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill from Justice League in an interview, saying,

“Justice League, Who’s that?”

Stan also teamed up with his co-star Anthony Mackie to continue his trolling of the two big DC stars with Mackie stating,

”I’ll take care of Affleck, he can take care of the British kid”

While the jibes between the stars of Marvel and DC have made for extremely entertaining viewing on social media, a few hardcore DC fans have taken the exchanges as a personal insult to their beloved franchise and have expressed their displeasure on the same.

Sebastian Stan Is A Ben Affleck Fanboy

Despite Marvel star Sebastian Stan publically roasting Batman vs Superman actors Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, the star has also publically acknowledged his admiration for Affleck’s body of work with specific reference to his Batman character. Speaking of the Argo actor’s appeal and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Stan said,

“I think visually it was insane. I thought Ben Affleck was an incredible Batman. I thought that fight sequence he had against all the guys, that was sick”.

The Captain America star also went on to praise the DCEU for their vision of expanding the universe to create Justice League. Stan said that the decision to bring together two of the most iconic superheroes in history was a masterstroke by the franchise. Meanwhile, the Marvel actor is set to reprise his role as Bucky Barnes in Captain America: New World Order which is due to release in 2024.
