Chris Pratt Got Emotional Watching His Mario Film For The First Time
Chris Pratt voiced Mario in this year’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a casting choice that got a lot of flak before the film came out. Pratt proved everybody wrong as he provided a charming personality to the character and the film went on to become the second highest-grossing film of the year. The actor was overwhelmed when he saw the film for the first time.
Speaking to Today, the actor opened up about the experience of voicing the character and pointed out how well the movie turned out to be. He called the experience to be a gratifying and beautiful one. He said,
“You don’t always know what these movies are going to look like, certainly in animation. You lend your voice over the course of a couple of years, and then you sit back and you watch the movie. It was really beautiful. Not just because we all worked so hard on it, but also it was just gratifying to know that we had made something really extraordinary.”
The film became one of the only two movies (with Barbie) to gross a billion dollars at the box office this year. Pratt will continue his voice acting work with 2024’s The Garfield Movie where he will be voicing Garfield.
