And this series of collaborations have finally given the star a chance to become the lead cast in the director’s upcoming movie Oppenheimer, where Murphy is set to play the titular protagonist. But while talking about the film, one thing that could be heard from him was the fact that he thinks the creator of the atomic bomb was contradictory in his opinion.

Therefore, legendary filmmaker Christopher Nolan believes in the star’s ability to bring his vision of the upcoming Oppenheimer to life. But what Murphy believes is the character that he will be playing in the film just feels contradicting to him.

In a recent interview, the Peaky Blinders star was talking about what went through his head when considering the role that Nolan proposed to him, and what he felt while reading one of the best-written scripts of his life. Here, he also commented about the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist that created the atomic bomb and whose life is depicted in the film, and how he felt despite him being the inventor that created the bomb that helped in ending the Second World War, he was branded as an evil individual. He said:

“One of the most important people of the 20th century. And, you know, what happened in 45, we’ve kind of been living in the shadow of that since then. And he was a hugely, you know, complex, hugely brilliant, and hugely, you know, kind of a contradictory character”

This proves just how deep and extensive his research and intrigue for the character and his past goes, which has ensured many of his depiction of the scientist of him in the coming movie.

The upcoming Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimer would be the reminiscence of the brilliant scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who is regarded as the father of the atomic bomb. The film is set to explore the events that transpired during the top-secret Manhattan Project under the US Government and will also detail the horrors that the creation of one of the deadliest weapons of mass destruction in human history ensued.
