Few directors and creatives survive after their first big success; people like Ken Levine, Glen Schofield, and Cliff Bleszinski were not so lucky after the success of their greatest IP. Once Gears of War was behind Cliffy B, the director tried several times to make a new great game.

Lawbreakers was one of these projects, but the title quickly went out of play, and the director distanced himself from gaming design. But fans seem to want to bring back this game, and this director is very happy and surprised about this community engagement.

As with many other directors or great personalities in the gaming industry, it is really hard to make numerous successful trailers. Few of these talents have survived after their first big game; one of them is Hideo Kojima from the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Others, like Glen Schofield, were not so lucky after another big failure. Thanks to the fans, this director has a new opportunity to revive one of his games.

Lawbreakers, by Cliff Bleszinski, creator of Gears of War, was its first big project after the release of the third installment of this huge franchise.

This game was a hero shooter that mixed action with other key features, making it a little different from a conventional shooter. This title handled vertical gameplay with a lot of boost on each scenario; it was very similar to Unreal Tournament.

Seven years have passed since Lawbreakers closed servers for good, but some very dedicated fans are doing the first test to bring back new servers for this shooter. Cliff Bleszinski was very happy about this news and even shared the discord of this project so other players who want to play this game can join. This has been happening since 2022, when Twitch user The_Mr_Shank even streamed some matches of this title.

If you join the Discord server, you’ll be ready for the next test play that this community organizes to play Lawbreakers again. Cliff Bleszinski has been very far from the industry the last couple of years; he is only focusing on restaurant management, comic writing, and some inversions. But he was always eager to help out fans by making requests possible; he is not against people playing any game freely.

Ken Levine, creator of Bioshock, is working on a new, very similar game called Judas that will come out sometime this year or in 2025. The creator will try to make a comeback to see if he still has it and make another cult game like Bioshock was two decades ago.

There are a few very impressive creative minds that have a lot to give to the industry and fans in general. Players always want new opportunities to play good games.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
