After a lot of speculations about the highly anticipated Deadpool 3, a scoop about Elizabeth Olsen returning to the MCU made some ripples on the internet. But it is now being said that it was all a hoax. The internet is therefore divided and a whole lot confused about Scarlet Witch’s uncertain future. After her last appearance, the mad world of MCU has changed quite a lot, thus in turn making her return to the latest phase 5 near to impossible.
After a rumor arose of her returning in Deadpool 3, making the movie even more epic, fans got their hopes high, but the recent disappointing update has compelled some of them to manage their expectations. The latest Deadpool movie is going to be awesome nonetheless given the stakes but some are arguing, the rumored variant of Olsen’s character would have taken the movie to a whole new level.

Scarlet Witch Might Not Be in Deadpool 3
Deadpool 3, as it is, promises a crazy ride to its fans from the notorious character stepping into the MCU to the return of the OG Wolverine, the film is set to pack a powerful punch when it finally arrives on the big screen. But a recent scoop by CosmicCircus writer Alex P. claimed the fan favorite Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will be returning to the big screen in the highly anticipated movie. Although not the way fans were expecting, it was said the Earth-838’s Wanda Maximoff can be expected to make a return.
It is now being said, that “No form or variant of Wanda Maximoff is in #Deadpool3” in a recent Divinity Seeker tweet and fans are not thrilled,

Only time can tell if the MCU fan favorite will at all be present in the movie. Till then fans can only speculate while they wait for further updates on the alleged casting of the movie. Although some of the X-Men and the OG characters have already secured their place in the movie, fans are still waiting for confirmation on the alleged MCU cameos.
Will Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Ever Return to MCU?
Although Olsen is proud of the work she has done, she claimed she was not particularly eager to crawl back into Scarlet Witch’s skin again. In a recent Variety’s Actors on Actors conversation upon being she asked if she would miss playing the character, the actress shared,
“No, I don’t. I think it’s been almost ten years of playing her. And I’ve loved it. And I think the reason why l am not calling Kevin Feige everyday with ideas is because I’m really proud of what we were able to do,”
She then continued saying,
“I think ‘WandaVision was a really surprising opportunity. If someone were to tell me that I’m fired from Marvel movies, I will feel proud of what we made. And I really am just trying to figure out how to load up other films and characters, so it becomes less about the Marvel of it all.”
But ultimately admitted she is not yet done with the character,
“We can do anything with her now! I feel like we’ve done so much. Now, we can really have fun. I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. She’s often the emotion of a story, and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption.”
Although a return in Phase 5 is a bit difficult many are suggesting the creators sit out the current phase so that the character can return with a bang in the years to come and gets the ending she truly deserves.
Deadpool 3 is set to arrive on 3rd May 2024 on the big screens!
