Warner Bros.’ Coyote vs Acme was a hybrid live-action and animated movie starring John Cena. It took over $70 million to complete the movie and was supposed to stream on Max. With James Gunn being its producer and also having some credit for the story, the movie was one of the most anticipated ones by many Looney Tunes fans.

Inspired by a New Yorker short story of 1990, it would have featured an Acme warehouse filled with all kinds of traps to attack the famous Roadrunner. Slated to be released this year in July, it was scrapped when Warner Bros. relaunched its global strategy.

After facing severe backlash and censure from fans, critics, and even from filmmakers and animators from all over the world, it was recently reported by Puck News, that the studio might be willing to give the movie another chance. While the studio itself has not made an official statement, it is being reported that it might be willing to give the makers a chance to sell it to some other distributors.

While fans have been calling for WB to release Batgirl, earlier this year Peter Safran stated that the movie was not releasable and the character would one way or the other make its way into the DC mythos.
