Eiichiro Oda has always been careful with One Piece’s storytelling. He leaves subtle details between the plots, which often get overlooked. One such event happened during the Skypiea arc when the names of the four Gods were revealed. The fans later found out that the four Gods represented the four strongest Devil Fruit after Monkey D. Luffy was revealed to be Sun God Nika.
Following the same mannerism, the mangaka might also have revealed the strongest of the Five Elders. With One Piece coming to an end soon, the Egghead Island arc has featured the true extent of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn’s powers. His power level shocked Luffy, Zoro, Kizaru, and Rob Lucci. Even though he has terrifying abilities, he is not the strongest member of the Gorosei.
Who Is The Strongest Member of the Gorosei?
Gorosei is referred to as the Warrior God and holds the second highest authority after Imu-Sama. Eiichiro Oda first hinted at the monstrous power of the Gorosei during the Reverie arc, when Sabo barely managed to escape from their grasp. During the Egghead Island arc, one of the Warrior Gods, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, revealed his true form. He had an awakened form like Luffy and Rob Lucci and had unimaginable regeneration abilities.
It gave an idea of how strong the other Gorosei were. A new One Piece fan theory claims that to have found the strongest member of the Gorosei. The Gorosei are named after the planets in the Solar system. Centuries back, Earth was thought to be at the center of the Solar system, but through efforts of great scientists like Galileo Galilei, it was established that the Sun was at the center of the Solar System.
Considering Monkey D. Luffy is the Sun, Imu-Sama is the Earth. The theory claims that the closest planet to the Sun is Mercury, then Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Mercury signifies Topman Warcury, and Saturn signifies Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. Mercury being closest to the Sun, means Topman Warcury is the strongest. On the other hand, if Earth is considered to be the center, Venus is the closest, followed by Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
In this case, Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is the strongest since he represents Venus. In both cases, the weakest is Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. So, according to the theory, either Topman Warcury or Ethanbaron Nusjuro is the strongest Gorosei in One Piece.
One Piece Has Always Followed A Pattern To Reveal The Strongest Member
Every crew or organization in One Piece follows the same pattern. The Baroque Works followed a number system. The lowest number was the strongest, and the numbers following them were ranked accordingly. Mr. 0 was the strongest, then Mr. 1, then Mr. 2, and so on. In the same way, Beast Pirates followed the Poker logic, with King being the strongest, then Queen, and then Jack.
The Gorosei is most likely following the same logic since Saint Jaygarcia Saturn is the farthest from both the Sun and Earth, meaning he is the weakest. Moreover, the strongest ones are always in the middle. Luffy stands in the middle of every Straw Hat photo, and so does the strongest in other organizations. In One Piece, Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro and Topman Warcury are always seated in the middle hinting that they are the strongest.
Saint Nusjuro is always seen to carry a sword. The fan theory claims it to be Shodai Kitetsu, one of the Twelve Supreme Blades. With Saint Jaygacia Saturn summoning the entire Gorosei on Egghead Island, the fans will finally get to see the entire squadron in action. It will be interesting to see how Sun God Nika fights all five of the elders.
Until the further One Piece chapters, the strongest Gorosei is still a mystery. But the theory has enough ground and might even be true. It all depends on Oda sensei and his ability to narrate the entire thing to make it official. Until then, it remains a fan theory.
