So buckle up and get ready because the buzz around the game has just kicked into turbo mode with the official confirmation that the game will hit the Gamescom stage.

As for creating hype around Crimson Desert, breadcrumbs have been leaving a sneaky trail to any valuable information about the game. Now, the promise of truly accessible gameplay at Gamescom excites gamers ready to dive into the action.
The announcement made by Jin-young Heo is not only the right moment to drop the microphone but a direct and sincere communication with the fans, declaring that they are going to Gamescom to finally show the product and give the gaming community information they have been waiting for. The road here to uncover any secrets about the Crimson Desert has been a wild ride for players, but now, the curtain is starting to lift and a peek at the gameplay treasure is in store for Gamescom running from August 23-27.

Crimson Desert is the next action RPG from developer Pearl Abyss and creator of Black Desert Online. The spin-off proposes to revolve around the single-player experience that takes place in the same universe as its predecessor. In the new IP, players will be invited to explore a war-torn medieval fantasy realm where loyalties are tested and heroes are made, this in an open world immersed in eternal calamities.
The game promises that the player will live the untold and learn to survive the captivating horrors and tribulations in the broken land of Pywel as a lone Mercenary or aided by allies made along the way, forging their great history. As for the story of the title, Pearl Abyss confirmed the setting on the continent of Pywel, a medieval kingdom that is home to arid lands, mythical creatures, and an endless war between desperate factions where the mercenary protagonist takes his place on the board.

According to the developers, players’ actions will influence Pywel’s story and suggest that there will be more than one specific arc to follow, the how is still unclear but if it’s anything like Black Desert Online, one can already expect an infinity of possibilities to shape the universe around you, whether you like it or not.
Crimson Desert will center its gameplay on a mix of open-world exploration, loot gathering, and general character progression with Souls-style combat. As for the difficulty, very crucial in games of this vibe, Crimson Desert is still unknown, but it is still another competitor for appreciative fans to take advantage of. Leaving combat, Crimson Desert will open up the world of Pywel in front of the player, giving complete freedom to roam between regions and what to do in them with dangers and voracious armies spread across the map.
The first official announcement of Crimson Desert took place during The Game Awards 2020 when the plan was still to release the game in 2021. Obviously, due to the pandemic and other reasons for the delay, the date was moved to a vague window of 2022, until that, once again, development gained more time at the end of last year to dedicate more time to adding new ideas for the title. Now, the date remains a mystery and what we are sure of is that Crimson Desert will arrive for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
