James Bond is easily one of the most enviable roles in Hollywood. The portrayal of the highly skilled and smooth intelligence officer who first arrived on the big screen in 1962 has a range of perks. Not only does it allow the actor to drive the best Aston Martin cars and boast the legendary 007 code, but it also ensures the star returns home with an eye-watering paycheck.
For nearly two decades, Daniel Craig had been portraying the iconic character (until 2020), leading to him frequently finding his name among the highest-paid actors in the industry. His immense earning is reflected in his Omega watch collection.
A Look at Daniel Craig’s Impressive Watch Collection
Daniel Craig, who first dipped into the world of James Bond in 2006, had a fine career before that role. But ever since the release of Casino Royale, followed by four more Bond movies, the Englishman has risen to unimaginable stardom and attracted even more stunning deals from studios as well as brands, including Omega, who has roped him in as its brand ambassador.
This has certainly helped Craig to take his passion for watch collection to an enviable level, with the 55-year-old possessing some of the most expensive watches in the world. Accordingly, Esquire‘s Nick Sullivan sat down with the actor to take a look at what he has amassed over the years.
The first watch Craig and Sullivan picked up was the Speedmaster Moonwatch ($10,995). Explaining why it attracted him, the actor was quick to reply, “The moon thing.” He then underlined how impressed he was with its functionality.
They then moved on to Seamaster 300 – which costs as much as $8k. It holds a special place in his collection because he wore it in the opening scene of Casino Royale. Another Bond watch, Seamaster Diver 300M was the next in the line. He rocked the $8,800 worth watch in No Time to Die.
Craig then brought the Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial Chronometer to the fore. He wore it in Spectre (2015). The one he got was not for sale, as it was a prototype.
The pair also talked about Seamaster Memomatic ($2,750) and Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 40th ($61,000) – which marks the 40th anniversary of man’s conquest of the moon – before moving to his Knives Out watch.
What Daniel Craig Wore in the Knives Out Franchise
Apart from the Bond franchise, Craig has also enjoyed a lot of success, both critically and financially, for his role as Benoit Blanc in Knives Out.
In 2021, Variety reported that Craig agreed a deal north of $100 million with Netflix for two sequels of Knives Out.
As expected, he didn’t forget to wear his expensive and meaningful watches in this franchise as well. He wore a Constellation ($11764) and an anniversary-edition Seamaster 1948 ($8957) for his appearances in Knives Out and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery respectively.
