It’s time that Matt Murdock’s Daredevil dons his iconic suit and takes down Wilson Fisk once and for all in the upcoming MCU series Daredevil: Born Again. With Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio battling it out, a certain leaked photo confirmed a major plot point for the upcoming series.
With the leaked photo allegedly taken from the sets of Daredevil: Born Again, it seems that D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk will be running for Mayor of NYC. This essentially confirms that the series will follow the Devil’s Reign storyline and fans are excited!
Leaked Photos Confirm Devil’s Reign Storyline For Daredevil: Born Again
As we have stated multiple times, the MCU doesn’t leave loose ends, it seems that Phase 5 is coming together quite strongly with other franchises merging into the Marvel Cinematic Universe smoothly.
A photo was recently leaked on the internet wherein a newspaper front page shows the heading “Wilson Fisk Campaign Gains Momentum Heading Into Polls”. Fans allege that the photo is a leak from the sets of Daredevil: Born Again and if this is true, the Devil’s Reign storyline from the Marvel Comics is seemingly confirmed.

The Devil’s Reign storyline featured Wilson Fisk running for the Mayor of NYC while he outlaws vigilantism across New York City. This causes multiple superheroes to be incarcerated including Moon Knight, Reed Richards, and, Sue Storm. Luke Cage speaks out against the atrocities but doesn’t seem to have an effect on Kingpin.
With Matt Murdock aka Daredevil confronting Kingpin about the atrocities, the two have a fight with Elektra stopping Matt Murdock from killing Wilson Fisk. Handing him over to the authorities, the storyline ends with Luke Cage automatically getting elected as Mayor. The Devil’s Reign is one of the darkest storylines in the MCU and fans are excited for the upcoming series. What’s more interesting is that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man could also appear in Daredevil: Born Again!
Tom Holland Could Reprise His Role As Spider-Man In Daredevil: Born Again
During the entirety of the storyline, there have been multiple instances of Spider-Man fighting against the various injustices in New York City. The hero is first introduced in the storyline when he fights Taskmaster leaving Spider-Man severely injured.
During the finale of the storyline, Spider-Man has to acquire the neutral disruptors so that he can protect the heroes from the Purple Man (long story). With Marvel President Kevin Feige announcing that a heavy emphasis will be given on street-level heroes, it seems that Tom Holland could indeed make a return to the MCU with Daredevil: Born Again. The upcoming series is slated for a release date in 2025 on Disney+.
