Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again is in production. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will be keen on building an astounding world around Daredevil as the titular hero evolves into the narrative. Also, reportedly, the show may bring several street-level MCU characters into the mix.
The hype around the show has been astonishing, and the cast and rumored characters added fuel to the anticipation. Earlier, Wednesday star Jenna Ortega was rumored to be a part of the show playing MCU’s White Tiger a.k.a. Ava Ayala. Now, the new set photos seem to confirm the appearance of White Tiger. But is it Ortega?
Daredevil: Born Again May Feature MCU White Tiger
Earlier, Jenna Ortega was rumored to be featured as MCU’s Ava Ayala following fans created pictures that went viral in 2022. Perhaps the MCU kept things in motion and felt the essence of bringing the character. However, before Ava Ayala’s White Tiger, her brother Hector was the MCU hero with his martial arts skills fighting criminals to clean New York City.
Now, a seemingly Daredevil: Born Again set video and photos surfaced online after an X user @Porgonomics unveiled what seems like the Marvel vigilante in the White Tiger suit. The person in the costume coincides with the filming of the series in and around the same location, confirming the validity of the speculation of White Tiger joining the MCU series. White Tiger in NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen, perhaps for a bite of something after hours of filming, has been engrossing for the fans.
But is it Ortega? The White Tiger in the Hell’s Kitchen, specifically, Midtown West Gourmet Deli, on 10th Avenue doesn’t adhere to a female physical feature. Rather, the appearance may indicate Hector Ayala’s White Tiger. Regardless, it’s almost sure that White Tiger will appear in Daredevil: Born Again.
MCU is More Focused On The Streets
MCU has yet to explore several street-level characters from the comics. Netflix’s Daredevil has shown how the titular hero has gained immense fandom over the years. Now, the idea of rebooting the show with Daredevil: Born Again might just work in the Studio’s favor. Also, the show will open doors to several other characters, and the speculation of it has already enthralled fans to the core.
MCU has already teased the essence of Daredevil in the Disney+ shows She-Hulk and Echo, and the studio has utter faith in Charlie Cox’s hero. “One of my favorite things about the Daredevil scene in the show is how it defines New York,” Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum tools Comicbook.com.
“And, you know, not to spoil things, but as we move forward into the future of the MCU and we start telling more grounded New York-based stories, like Daredevil: Born Again, Daredevil himself as a symbol of vigilantism in that city, as a symbol of what it means to be operating in the criminal underworld in New York, it’s just so impactful. And Charlie is Daredevil, you can’t really separate the two now. Even in that scene [in Echo], he really … I mean, you just wanna know more, you wanna lean in. It’s the greatest hook in the world for our future, moving forward.”
It is too early to judge what Marvel is cooking with Daredevil, but the anticipation has always been at the top with new updates and speculations. Daredevil: Born Again will hit Disney+ in 2025.
