Wilson Bethel Returns As Bullseye For Disney+’s Upcoming Daredevil: Born Again
According to ComicBook.com, Wilson Bethel is set to reprise his role of Bullseye for Daredevil: Born Again. However, it’s unclear how extensive his role will be.
Bullseye aka Benjamin Poindexter, the merciless killer who can turn anything into a lethal projectile first appeared back in 1976 in Daredevil #131.
First introduced in the third season of Netflix’s Daredevil, the viewers were given an insight into his past story with flashbacks. However, after the series was canceled, his storyline was left open. And thus, ended on a cliffhanger. Bullseye got his spine paralyzed after Wilson Fisk had badly injured him.
He went into surgery and woke up quickly as the camera zoomed in on his right eye. It’s likely that after that, now Disney+ would continue his storyline since his return is confirmed.
Due to the Writers Guild of America strike last summer, the filming of Daredevil: Born Again was paused, which has recently resumed. Though the camera stopped rolling, in the meantime MCU hired Dario Scardapane as the new showrunner behind the series as a part of a creative overhaul.
Daredevil: Born Again Will Reportedly be Much Shorter than What Was Earlier Announced
Back in 2022, Kevin Feige announced that Daredevil: Born Again would comprise 18 episodes. But since then much has changed and now it has been reported that it will be much shorter than that.
Per THR, Daredevil: Born Again will no longer be 18 episodes, but will instead be “more in line with the original Netflix series model of lower episode counts.”
Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio spoke to Comicbook.com, stating:
“The amount of episodes keeps fluctuating, so I don’t really know the number that we’re at right now. But it seems like there are a few shows that could work with more episodes, then some that just need eight or 10 or six. Echo is like five.“
This is one of the most anticipated upcoming shows and the intrigue around it just keeps intensifying. The buzz and speculation about the plot are alive.
The cast of Daredevil: Born Again also includes Margarita Levieva, Arty Froushan, Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, and Nikki M. James.
