Arising from all the confusion, there are many theories made up by players of the game that are supposed to give a reason for unexplained plots and characters. And one of these theories exposes a Demigod to be far worse than Queen Marika and Mohg. Who we are talking about is Miquella, twin brother of Malenia and child of Marika and Radagon.
Considering FromSoftware is notorious for making mysterious characters opposite of the nature they depict, fans have started speculating that Miquella might not be who he seems.
Why There Might Be A Hidden Side To Miquella In Elden Ring
As known to every FromSoftware fan, the studio is famous for creating characters that seem mysterious and benevolent at first, but never turn out the same in reality. While Ranni remains another positive character from the Elden Ring, players have theorized that the same might not be the case for Miquella.
Owing to the mystery created around Miquella’s character and the severe lack of information to his background, it might just be possible that he could have been scheming all this long for his own benefit. It is easy to believe that Miquella’s intention for creating the Haligtree can be simply to create a copy of the Erdtree that did not follow the orders of the Greater Will.

Fans of Elden Ring hope that Miquella’s character will be explored further in the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, rumored to release in late February.
What We Know About Miquella So Far
Since Queen Marika and Radagon are halves of one entity, Miquella as well as his twin sister Malenia are considered to be empyreans. Empyreans possess the power of being the ruler and god of the new order, something which Miquella could have wanted to pursue.
Miquella was also born with the curse of eternal youth, which practically meant that while he aged, he would never grow up and would remain a child forever, with a similar curse being bestowed upon his sister. Malenia was born with the curse of Scarlet Rot.

The twin brother and sister have shown to be quite close to each other. This is proven as Miquella goes to the lengths of abandoning fundamentalism and the greater will, as they were able to serve no good to cure her sister’s curse. He also further invents the Unalloyed Gold item, which drastically reduces the effect of Scarlet Rot on Malenia’s body.
