Amazon Prime Gaming gives some of the best games and exciting in-game content for free to Amazon Prime subscribers every month. Although many of the games are often lesser-known, popular titles are also offered once in a while, and this time it’s Deathloop.
Last month, Amazon Prime gave PC players two free games, Rage 2 and DOOM 3, and is stepping up the offerings in December as the service will allow players to claim seven free games, including the popular first-person shooter Deathloop, among other titles.
Deathloop Headlines Amazon Prime Gaming December Lineup
Prime Gaming has given away some of the very best games this year, such as Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition ahead of the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, Payday 2, Farming Simulator 19, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. It also offered Football Manager 2023 in September, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp in October, just in time for Halloween, and Rage 2 and DOOM 3 in November.
Amazon Prime revealed the free game lineup for December 2023 via a blog post, with Deathloop being the highlight of the lineup. Deathloop is a first-person shooter developed by Arkane Studios. It was initially released on PlayStation 5 and later came to Xbox Game Pass after Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media, Arkane Studios’ parent company.
Deathloop was a defining title for PS5 in its first year and was highly praised by gamers, ultimately winning multiple awards, including Best Game Direction at both The Game Awards and the D.I.C.E. Awards. The game’s plot revolves around two rival assassins trapped in a time loop who must take down their key targets before the day resets. The game has been praised for its stealth and shooting mechanics, immersive-sim gameplay, and unique and captivating storyline.
A total of seven games will be up for grabs throughout December, starting with Deathloop on December 7. The other six free games include Akka Arrh, Aground, Kombinera, SeaOrama: World of Shipping, A Tiny Sticker Tale, and Asteroids: Recharged.
Players will be able to claim three titles on December 14. These are Atari’s fast-paced arcade shooter title Akka Arrh, mining and crafting RPG Aground, and maritime simulator title SeaOrama: World of Shipping, where players experience running a shipping business. Atari’s puzzle-platformer title Kombinera, which involves the use of colored balls, will be available to claim on December 21.
Two titles, A Tiny Sticker Tale and Atari’s Asteroids: Recharged, can be claimed on December 28. A Tiny Sticker Tale is an adventure game where you try to change the world using the power of stickers. Asteroids: Recharged is an arcade shooter and features beautiful soundtracks from award-winning video game composer Megan McDuffee.
Prime Gaming is also offering some free games on its cloud gaming platform, Amazon Luna, along with the above-mentioned free games. Prime Gaming subscribers in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom can play Fortnite, Trackmania, Strange Horticulture, Bloodrayne: Fresh Bites, Steel Assault, and Once Upon a Jester completely free.
Although there is still time before December games are made available, players can currently claim Caverns of Mars: Recharged, The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos, Orten was the Case, and Black Widow: Recharged. These are games from the November lineup, and Dungeon of Naheulbeuk and Black Widow: Recharged are available until December 26, whereas Caverns of Mars and Ortem was the Case are available until January 6, 2024.
Additionally, Amazon Prime subscribers can also claim free in-game content in December. Players can claim the EA FC24 Gaming Pack, a World of Warcraft reward, a reward pack for Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which will carry forward to Modern Warfare 3. Other in-game content includes bundles for Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and more.
