The Wrestler-turned-Hollywood-star never skips leg day. When he was preparing for Black Adam in 2022, he had to build really big legs. The Hollywood star said that building those massive quads was one of the toughest challenges ever, but he smashed through it with giant sets and heavy lifts.

Dwayne Johnson wants everyone to channel their BDE – Big Dwayne Energy. The actor, famous for playing tough roles, is now the face of a fresh campaign for ZOA Energy, where he’s urging everyone to discover their ‘Big Dwayne Energy’ (BDE).

On his X account, recently he posted a reel playing a game in which he talks about what’s the true BDE is and what’s not. When asked if skipping leg is BDE or not, the Jungle Cruise star replied:

“It’s definitely not BDE. Don’t you ever and I mean ever…..and I mean ever, skip leg day.”

Leg extensions are really good for building up quads because they target them directly. The Great One likes them because they help him get that pumped feeling he’s after.

Bodybuilders dig this exercise because it lets them crank up the volume, just like Johnson does with his drop sets.

Dwayne Johnson Inspires with ‘Big Dwayne Energy’ Campaign

The ZOA Energy drink commercial starts with a beginner aerial acrobat, a busy mom, and a surgeon feeling overwhelmed. They then magically turn into The Rock and complete their tasks with confidence. The entire ad is accompanied by the song Big Energy by Latto.

The 51-year-old teamed up with his ex-wife Dany Garcia, her husband Dave Rienzi, and John Shulman to co-found ZOA.

The actor told People he wanted to create a campaign where he “could look as ridiculous as possible” and put him in “these ridiculous outfits and clothing” that he “would still have fun in.” The Hayward native added that there are two important things to channeling Big Dwayne Energy:

“Number one, quieting the noise. There’s so much noise out there that we always fight to quiet and it could be so distracting and at times, so cynical and negative. The other is to have fun and know that your true self is all you need.”

His favorite part of the ad was when he recreated his ’90s look. In the original photo, The Rock wore a black turtleneck, gold chain, mom jeans, and a fanny pack. In the commercial, he stands next to himself dressed as ’90s Rock, giving off a strong vibe.
