Thanks to Variety‘s claims, over the past week, there have been some rumors spreading around claiming that the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, plans to bring back the original Avengers for a Marvel movie, which is expected to be Avengers: Secret Wars (2027). This means that Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johannsson, who left the franchise in 2019, will be rejoining it as their respective characters.

With the concept of multiverse, almost anything is possible in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many fans on social media have labeled Feige as desperate for this move, mainly because the stories of these returning characters were summed up with 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, so their return would make no sense.

Actor Jonathan Majors has been embroiled in controversy due to allegations made against him. Due to these allegations, Marvel has been reportedly planning to replace Majors. There are also reports that the studio might completely get rid of his character and replace it with an entirely different villain.

As of now, Majors hasn’t been fired, but fans are worried that there will be an announcement soon. Apart from this, Marvel is also focused on Captain Marvel‘s (2019) sequel, The Marvels, which will be released in the United States on November 10, 2023
