Naruto Live-Action Movie Has An Advantage Over Manga And Anime

Tasha Huo, the author of the 2024 Red Sonja adaptation, will pen the screenplay for the Naruto film. Lionsgate is truly motivated for the movie and is searching for talent with prior experience adapting anime for the big screen. However, the idea of a Naruto movie remains controversial because the 700-chapter original series would be better suited for a television adaptation.

Nonetheless, the franchise may be able to improve into a better live-action film than the previous ones if it is granted permission to produce sequels of the film. This is because, although Naruto is one of the biggest anime and manga in the world, some fans claim that there were improper connections between the original work.

It looks as though the series had several retcons that aided in achieving its conclusion. The completion of the manga and anime will help the live-action Naruto film since it will allow Kishimoto’s retcons to be embedded in the story from the very first movie, which would not only help the movie in connecting the narrative but also give the story a nice structure and world-building.

Naruto Live-Action Movie Can Be Better Than The Original Work

Looking at the storyline of the series in general, the reason the anime and manga took 700 chapters was because of the world-building that the series tried to achieve through the characters and the story. However, the movie has a better chance of creating the Naruto world as they already have the entire plot and setting ready for them.

There will be no need to gradually reveal new information in the film adaptation. Rather, it can start with all of the best aspects of Naruto’s world, which will make it even more satisfying when those aspects play a bigger role later on.

If the live-action Naruto film receives sequels, it will allow them to dive right into the action without having to spend too much time explaining things to the audience. This would be a huge boon for the movie and would give it an additional advantage over the original manga and anime series.
