Hack-and-slash games have been very popular among gamers for quite some time now. These games feature a type of gameplay that focuses on combat with melee-based weapons like swords or blades. Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo series is well-known for popularising this genre but these series lacked something that fans have been craving for years. The hack-and-slash game is fun but it really needs a first-person camera to make things much more exciting. Many players have attempted to make this possible using various mods but Blizzard has never acknowledged this idea.
Well, no one can tell if Blizzard will release a first-person Diablo game in the future but there is another upcoming game that can serve as a substitute: Voin. Created by indie game developer Nikita Sozidar and publisher tinyBuild Games, this fast-paced hack-and-slash game looks amazing and players should definitely check it out when it gets released.
A Diablo-like first-person hack-and-slash game will be released soon
If you’ve been waiting all these years for an official first-person Diablo game, you would love to check out this upcoming game created by indie game developer, Nikita Sozidar, and publisher tinyBuild Games, Voin. As per its Steam page, players can battle “hordes of enemies in fast-paced first-person hack-and-slash battles” in first-person.
On Reddit, tinyBuild Games has been promoting this dark fantasy action RPG by comparing it to the Diablo series but with a first-person camera, this completely changes the gaming experience. The game will feature various unique bosses and many powerful weapons that players can use to slash through enemies.
Voin has been in production for six years
As per BleedingCool, Voin has been in the works for roughly six years, and now finally, developer Nikita Sozidar’s game will reach gamers soon. No release date has been announced of now and as of now, it is not clear if this game is coming to consoles but PC players can experience the game as soon as it gets released on Steam.
As for Diablo, the fourth installment in the series was released on June 5, 2023, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S, and Microsoft Windows. Last year, Blizzard President Mike Ybarra confirmed in an interaction on X that the wait for Diablo 5 won’t be as long as previous installments so hopefully, in the near future, fans will get some information regarding the next game in the series.
