Bandai Namco stated in March this year that it was working on a new Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi game. After almost 16 years, the 3D arena fighting game subseries is returning. Bandai Namco provided fans with a few details about the forthcoming Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game. However, A fresh update for the new game series has just surfaced. In Japan, the series was dubbed Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! rather than Budokai Tenkaichi, with the second installment dubbed Sparking! Neo and the third, Sparking! Meteor.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4’s Real Name Revealed

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is a fighting game series created by Spike that is based on Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga series. The next main entry in the series was revealed by Bandai Namco and Toei Animation in March 2023 during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 event. Dragon Ball fans have uncovered a trademark for “Sparking! Zero” which was registered in the United States towards the end of last month. The trademark could imply that the game’s title will be Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Zero, at least in Japan, and a sequel announcement is on the way.

This appears to reflect previous speculation that suggested Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was nearer to its debut than some fans thought and was aiming for 2024.
