When Aquaman hit the theatres, fans were treated to a version of Arthur Curry that made everyone fall for the character, making the Amber Heard-starrer one of the best films in the franchise, both commercially and critically. This success was in no small part down to the Dune star.
James Gunn and Peter Safran are in charge of the DC Universe
Aquaman hit the theatres in 2018. It has been only 5 years since the movie’s release. But nothing is the same for the DCEU. Innumerable commercial failures, below-par plots, and a slew of controversies have landed the franchise in a pickle that has forced them out of business.
Zack Snyder might have had grand visions for the DCEU when it all started. But almost a decade down the line, things have not exactly gone to plan. But it is not the end of the road for DC, as they prepare for a new era, one with James Gunn and Peter Safran at the helm.
Jason Momoa’s new role in the DCU almost confirmed
James Gunn, who also directed The Suicide Squad, is responsible for revamping the DC Universe and taking them toe-to-toe with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans must be expecting DCU to rival Marvel for the top spot. Seems like Gunn has quite the task on his hands. And the first step begins with deciding who gets the nod for some of the leading roles.
We already know that David Corenswet is all set to play Superman in his project Superman: Legacy. And various rumors about other stars had been making the rounds. One such name was Jason Momoa. And thanks to Peter Safran’s wife, Natalia Safran, he has an idea that he will return as well, even though it’s in a different capacity.

This might as well settle all the hue and cry about the 44-year-old star’s future, as there couldn’t be a better source to confirm the rumors than a confirmation from the wife of DCU’s Co-CEO, Peter Safran.
