Natalie Portman Was Shocked With This “Absurd” Question

The question that disturbed Natalie Portman while she was on the most controversial comedy talk show that gets awkward and uncomfortable with each question, was asked by the host himself.

It had only been 4 years since her dystopian concept film V for Vendetta was released back in 2005, the very famous Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) invited her to his much-celebrated show ‘Between Two Ferns’ written by himself and Scott Aukerman, only to make her “speechless” by asking her –

In an interview with USA Today, he shared how unpleasant that joke was –

“I thought that that question was too much. I actually asked them to edit that out.”

It looks like Galifianakis was hesitant in asking such a personal and “gross” question, but shared that his co-writer Aukerman was adamant about it.

Natalie Portman On Her Experience With Shaving Her Head

V for Vendetta showed how the world would look with corrupt and totalitarian powers at play, and Natalie Portman didn’t want to leave anything to chance with this film. Making a drastic move such as completely shaving one’s head can be extremely challenging and scary, but not for her!

The character V, played by the phenomenal Hugo Weaving was shown as the revolutionary who was willing to stand against such powers. Natalie Portman’s Evey comes into contact with him and learns that she can’t surrender and must fight with him.

“I think it’s because she is this passive character, which is like the ‘everyman,’ who’s just sort of like, ‘The government’s pretty horrible, but I’m just gonna try and keep my head down, and go on with my life.’ and she gets swept up into this by accident, and then slowly learns that she has to do something. So, it’s a really exciting arc.”
