Fans will now have to wait a bit longer for the film which was supposed to see Kang the Conqueror in his entire glory. Jonathan MajorsAvengers: The Kang Dynasty has been pushed from its original release of May 02, 2025, to exactly a year later, minus one day. The film will now hit the theatres on May 01, 2026.

This schedule change comes as the Writers Guild of America is currently on strike. It looks like the delay could work in Marvel’s favor as they would have more time to work on the film. After all, we remember what happened in Phase 4! The projects in Phase 5 and Phase 6 are just too good to wreck. The studios can now give extra care to projects and make them as good as the fans are hoping them to be.

Other projects, namely, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, Blade, Fantastic Four, and Avengers: Secret Wars, also had their release dates postponed. On the other hand, Deadpool 3 has its release date preponed. The film will now release on May 03, 2024, instead of the original November 08, 2024.

While, unfortunately, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania did not prove to be the spectacular opening to Phase 5 fans thought it would be, Majors turned out to be a highlight of the film. Critics everywhere heavily praised the actor’s performance and according to USA Today, Majors “rightfully rights the ship every time he pops up with his deliciously disconcerting presence.”

And as far as The Guardian is concerned, Kang was absolutely banging. They wrote, “Does Kang bang? Why yes, he does. Majors brings the same emotionally intense it-boy energy of Adam driver in The Force Awakens.” Not only did the critics fall head over heels for Majors’ effortless performance but so did the fans. Ever since the film’s release, fans have been looking forward to seeing where Kang’s story is headed next. His next appearance is expected to be in the second season of Loki where he and his variants will be creating a ruckus for the God of Mischief. Will Kang be too much for Loki and the gang? Well, there’s only one way to find out!

Loki season 2 will be released on Disney+ on October, 06. You can stream Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Loki season 1 on Disney+.
