According to insiders, Lucasfilm and Disney are concerned because of the ongoing Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists strikes. “Season 4? Yeah, I’ve written it already. We have to know where we’re going to tell a fully-formed story, so we had mapped it out, [executive producer] Dave [Filoni] and I, and then slowly you just write each episode. So I was writing it during post-production [on The Mandalorian Season 3] because all of it has to feel like a continuation, one full story.”

As per reports, despite having the script, the show will be impacted by WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, leading to its delay.
