In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, during one of the first meetings that America Chavez has with Wong and Doctor Strange, the topic of Spider-Man is brought up. Xochitl Gomez’s character asks the two sorcerers if they have any experience with the multiverse, trying to understand how much she has to explain to them.

Benedict Cumberbatch’s character mentions that he and Wong know plenty about the multiverse after their experiences with Spider-Man, referring to the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

It is here that Chavez becomes extremely confused, asking who Spider-Man is. When she is told about the wedding-swinging superhero, she gets a look of confusion and disgust on her face. Having never heard about the superhero, she asks questions about his appearance and his powers.
