The last title in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, was launched back in 2013, and fans have been waiting to know more about Dreadwolf. However, there has been no proper information about the upcoming game until now. According to an insider, the latest installment will be released this year.

As per a new report via industry insider Jeff Grubb, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be launching this year. Grubb spoke about the game in a recent YouTube video and stated that the developer could soon announce the additional details at the summer showcase.

This has already been confirmed by the developer with the teaser last year. Jeff Grubb said that the game will launch before the end of 2024 and not before the end of EA’s fiscal year in March 2025.

Perfect Dark and Summer Game Mess update

This is because both Electronic Arts and Bioware are happy with the state of the game, and therefore, there is no reason to delay the launch of the game. Here’s what Grubb said:

At this point, it seems like we should see that game at Summer Game Fest or around that time. They should have all of the details for that thing because everyone seems really happy with that game.

He further added:

They’re pretty pleased with how it turned out, and the plan is to launch that this calendar year.

This comes after EA’s latest financial report stated that “two unannounced titles” are to be released in FY25, and one of them is understood to be the Dragon Age game.

There have only been a few glimpses of the game over the years, and this is surely good news for fans who have been waiting over a decade since the last game came out to hear more about the upcoming title’s release.

The Game May Be Showcased at Summer Game Fest

The game might be showcased in June 2024.

Bioware has only released two trailers for the game; one video showcased Solas, who is a playable character in the Inquisition. He is seemingly one of the main characters in the upcoming RPG.

The video was narrated by Varric, another playable character who appeared in the second installment of the series. In the video, he narrates the story of Solas, and could also be seen in some capacity in the game.

Grubb also mentioned that it is possible that EA is planning to showcase the game at the same time as the Summer Game Fest in June 2024, but he added that he is not sure if there will be a separate event for it or if it will be showcased at the Summer Game Fest.

Regardless, if the report is to be believed, more information and probably an update on the release date for the game is coming soon. What are your thoughts about this report? Are you looking forward to Dreadwolf? Let us know in the comments.
