The recent V-Jump scans show that the game is supposed to bring back one of the older features from the franchise in the form of Power vs Speed. The two pages of the V-Jump scan were originally in Japanese but some users translated it all into English for the benefit of all fans.

Fans, as usual, have mixed reactions to the latest V-Jump scans with a lot of them seriously unimpressed with it.

On 15th March 2024, a user posted 2 screenshots on X that showed the latest V-Jump scan results. Although the entire screenshots were in Japanese, each of them had one word in English – Power and Speed. This has led to intense fan speculation that the next Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero trailer will be regarding Power vs. Speed.

However, fan reactions have not been entirely positive with some fans wanting to do away with the old Budokai Tenkaichi feature. This news of the game having different power classes has not been well-received, especially among the new crop of fans.

The reaction of this fan seems to mirror the ones of a major section of Dragon Ball Z fans. The highly acclaimed Budokai Tenkaichi series seems to have made at least one mistake. And fans do not want it repeated in the upcoming installment of the franchise.

While the old guard amongst fans is turning nostalgic at the prospect of Speed vs. Power, the newer fans do not seem impressed at all and Bandai Namco would do well to listen to them.

The game has yet to receive a concrete release date but that hasn’t stopped fans from swooning over it and debating when it is going to be released. Bandai Namco has been routinely dropping news and updates over the development of the game.

The company has been running at a loss for quite some time. So, they really need to amp up their game with Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The video game division of Bandai Namco has reported an 8.9% decline in profits during its last quarterly reports. However, the latest entry in the Tekken franchise has sold over 2 million copies offering some respite in this financial embattlement that the company faces.

So, much is riding on the success of the upcoming Dragon Ball game and Bandai Namco is pulling all stops to make it a hit. However, these latest V-Jump scans have not been received well and the developers would do well to listen to fan opinions.

The single biggest lie told all around is, "It isn't that simple." It is simple, everything is. And that is what I emulate in my writing. No unnecessary jargons and no flamboyant flourish. Just what's needed to get your imagination going. After all mind has no limit, unlike the written word.
