The game seems to have a lot of content that is based around the DBZ and DB Super anime and a massive main roster, but there may be more. The latest scans have shown that the game might have non-canonical events from movies and more.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is confirmed to have a massive 164-character roster, the return of characters from Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and will also feature almost all of Goku and Vegeta’s transformations. However, it was always speculated that there would be non-canon content in the game from the original DBZ, Daima, or Grand Tour.

This seems to have been confirmed now as the Saikyo Jump magazine recently published a feature on Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, which was shared on X/Twitter by user Hype, and a translated scan was shared by The Blue Waifu. The scans feature images of Vegeta and Goku showing their signature moves, mostly from the game’s trailer, but some also show non-canon attacks.

One of the images shows Goku firing golden beams in his Super Saiyan form, which seems like a Ki blast at first. However, it is the Super Dragon Twin Fists move from DBZ: Fusion Reborn that was released back in 1995. Goku used this powerful move against the villain of the film Janemba, and this confirms that the game will feature non-canonical content.

More Non-Canon References Could Be in the Game

The Budokai Tenkaichi titles also have many non-canon references, so there’s more reason to believe that they may be coming to the game.

The original Dragon Fist move has also been a part of the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and if it makes it to the game, there might be many more coming. This move being in the game could also mean that characters like Janemba and Z Gogeta are included as wel.

There are also chances that the game might also feature Grand Tour references that are considered non-canon, but fans are advised to take this with a pinch of salt and wait for official confirmation from the developers. Fans are beyond excited upon knowing this and are desperate for the game’s launch, but there is no information on the release date from the developers as of now.
