Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the upcoming title in the popular Budokai Tenkaichi series, is one of the most anticipated titles and has been a hot topic of discussion among fans. The developer has released several trailers so far, which have only made players more excited, and they have been begging Bandai Namco to release the game soon.
Although there has been no information from the developer or publisher about the game’s release, fans will be happy to know that a gameplay showcase for the game is being held tomorrow, which might give them at least an idea of when to expect the game and possibly address other rumors.
A Gameplay Showcase for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Is Scheduled Tomorrow
After being in development for nearly five years, the game was first announced during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour in March 2023, and the official title was revealed in December 2023 at the Game Awards. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but the launch date hasn’t been announced.
It has now been announced that a gameplay showcase has been scheduled for Sparking Zero on Wednesday, March 20, at 7:00 AM PT / 15:00 PM CET. The showcase is expected to last around 13 minutes and is the second time players will be getting a look at the gameplay after the gameplay that was shown at the initial reveal of the game.
Fans are excited with this announcement and are expecting the game to be the biggest ever DBZ game. It is expected that the release date of the game might be revealed at the gameplay showcase, and rumors like the removal of split screen mode and the inclusion of content from non-canonical films may also be addressed.
Sparking Zero is Shaping up to Be the Biggest DBZ Game
Sparking Zero is the first entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series after over a decade and a half, as the last game was released 17 years ago in 2007. The game will bring back the iconic gameplay of the BT series in a 3D environment and immerse players in an exciting Dragon Ball experience.
The game will feature one of the largest rosters in a DBZ game, with 164 characters. Several forms of Goku and Vegeta have been confirmed as well. Giant characters from Budokai Tenkaichi 3 are also said to be coming to the game. Moreover, characters such as Toppo and Dyspo from Universe 11 and Master Roshi from Resurrection F are also rumored in the V-Jump magazine scans.
There are also rumors that the game may allow players to have two characters fight simultaneously, which has never been seen in a Dragon Ball game. However, it remains to be seen how much of this is true, and possibly the showcase will shed some light on it.
