It’s easy to forget the roots of a beloved project after many years of progression and change. Luckily, this isn’t exactly the case among the Dragon Ball fans; they may have forgotten about one character that has long been a part of the series. Interestingly, the man was the first rival of Goku when he began his journey.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is becoming the latest trend among fans, especially after the improvements that are revealed with every new look on the internet. The latest trailer with the ‘Master vs. Apprentice’ theme is here, and it holds some hidden gems in plain sight that viewers might have missed.
Though it’s a No-Energy Attack, We Can All Feel The Energy
Yamcha, the desert bandit turned ally, is one of the initial characters with whom Goku encounters in Akira Toriyama’s universe. For the hardcore fans, they know his signature Wolf Fang Fist technique is a no-energy attack but can be brutal if it catches the person on the other side.
The attack has been adapted in video games too, but none comes close to depicting it realistically as the next Budokai Tenkaichi does.
During the trailer, Yamcha is up against Master Roshi, the Turtle Hermit. Players can see Yamcha using his Wolf Fang Fist attack, and longtime fans know it in the moment that Sparking! Zero has done justice to our Z fighter. Interestingly, this particular fight might also be an indication of the game incorporating the tag team mechanic.
Akin to the series, we can see a ‘Wolf’ appearing on the screen, similar to the anime series. While attacking, Yamcha’s hand and finger movements mimic those of a biting wolf, and hence, his aura appears similar to that of the animal.
Wolf Fang Fist Has Appeared a Bit Differently Across Dragon Ball Universe
The Wolf Fang Fist has been presented differently throughout the media adaptations. In the Budokai series, it is showcased as Wolf Sliced Fist. In Attack of the Saiyans, a weaker version called Wolf Hurricane is used by Yamcha. During the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, he uses its one-hit variant called Blinding Wolf Fang Fist.
Many might not know this, but it is considered that Yamcha was the one to invent the skill, provided he is the only one seen using it. However, Super Buu is able to leverage the technique after absorbing Tien and Yamcha in Budokai 2.
Many characters are yet to make an appearance, but they may if more trailers are released. As of now, fans can see the available ones on YouTube until the game arrives, which is likely to be ten months from now according to a calculation made by some fans.
