Players are really happy with DD2, but a particular problem has been cursing fans from the start: the infamous disease, Dragonsplague. This illness eventually causes pawns and NPCs to die. However, Steam players have finally realized how to combat this disease and help pawns survive.

Capcom has really gone the extra mile with DD2. This RPG title makes players fight in a completely different way compared to other titles in the genre. The level of immersion and realism in the gameplay makes players really think long and deep about every possible move to not lose all the progress in the game. This title has some details about the NPC system that can really jeopardize the whole journey. If some of these NPCs die, and you cannot revive them, you will lose a main mission.

One of the main things that makes players sweat in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the Dragonsplague, a disease that can literally kill the NPC and leave you without the principal quest to advance in the story. The game’s community has come together through Steam to come up with a solution to discover what pawns have this illness. In a Steam discussion, a player suggested a method to “cure” this disease; he suggested that the NPC should immerse themselves in the ocean, where they would emerge cured.

According to players, some “symptoms” include shaking heads and a lot of rubbing in the face. You can rescue the pawns by drowning them, but they will return to the original owner. But you can avoid losing them forever. Players are agreeing that the main sign of a future Dragonsplague is the attitude of the pawn, who is always saying negative things. This will probably end up being an ill NPC. Some players just dismiss the pawn and do not rate them.

Is the Dragonsplague solution real? Is it safe for DD2 players?

Players started to add their experience with Dragonsplague; some users even said that they never hire pawns with helmets to see their faces and discover if they have this disease. Rotten food is also a possibility; some say the ill pawns have an attitude. Apparently, there are a lot of ways to discover if your pawn has Dragonsplague. This is one of the main problems that players have to face to complete the title.

Last month’s release of DD2 sparked a lot of controversy due to its microtransactions, which some users complained were too expensive for features like jail release and teleportation. Later, this controversy subsided when other fans clarified that players could acquire all these items in-game. After this, players really focus on the spectacular gameplay and the amazing immersive world that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
