Last seen 13 years ago, the actor has willingly retired from the life of a Hollywood celebrity and can sometimes be seen enjoying a Lakers game.
Despite his willing retirement, the star continues to be approached with movie scripts as revealed by Marc Maron and Lou Adler in a recent episode of the WTF With Marc Maron podcast.
Maron: “A friend of mine wanted to put him in a movie. And he had a conversation with him. But Jack says, ‘I don’t want to do it.’ He goes, ‘You know what I did today? I sat under a tree and I read a book.'”
Adler: “That sounds like Jack… He wants to be quiet. He wants to eat what he wants. He wants to live the life he wants.”
While this revelation shocked the world, many of his fans came out to support him on social media.

While most actors would want to work till their dying breath, Jack Nicholson quit the illustrious life of Hollywood 13 years ago. The now 86-year-old Hollywood legend would rather want to read a book and enjoy his quiet time than be bothered by the hustle-bustle of a movie set, no matter how promoting a script may be.
After the revelation of his leaving the film industry by choice, many of his fans showed support on X, agreeing that he does in fact deserve his quiet life.

While there have been no comments from Nicholson so far, the massive support and encouragement he has received from fans prove just what an amazing career the actor has had.
