Jimmy Fallon, the iconic show host has interviewed hundreds of celebrities on his show throughout the years. Unafraid of being a comedian, Fallon texted MCU star Jeremy Renner once when the actor was in the ICU during his snowplow accident.
It, as one would expect, was not a normal text, like “How are you?” or “Hope you’re doing okay.” Appearing in a recent interview, Renner revealed what the message contained and it is for sure hilarious!
Jeremy Renner Was Trending When He Was In The ICU!
The above statement isn’t intended to be a joke. However, Jimmy Fallon wasn’t afraid to make a joke out of it when Renner was in the ICU after his snowplow accident! Back in 2023, Renner was involved in a horrible snowplow accident that left him in an ICU.
With brutal reports, the world feared for Renner’s health and prayed for his recovery. Jeremy Renner, known for portraying the role of Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, had already won the hearts of millions of people. Renner often took to his social media accounts to update the world about his condition and how he was doing.
After recovering to some extent, the actor was discharged from the hospital and he shifted to a remote location to relax and recover completely. Renner recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and revealed what Fallon texted him when he was in the ICU!
I got some duct tape and got all put back together. It’s all good. Yeah, I was pretty banged up. He [Jimmy Fallon] was so worried he texted me, by the way I remember, in the ICU.
Renner further continued,
Um, “Dude, you’re trending.” No! I’m dying. Fallon defended the joke by saying that he just wanted to make Renner laugh. I wanted to make you laugh. Did it make you laugh? while Renner replied, It did make me laugh.
However, this was just the start of the interview as Renner continued to talk about other things. The actor occasionally answered questions about the horrible snowplow accident.
As the interview continued, Jeremy Renner talked about how gory the incident was, revealing some key details that are clearly not for the faint of heart!
Jeremy Renner Saw His Eye… Through His Other Eye!
While trying to save his nephew from a snowplow, Renner essentially sacrificed himself and saved the kid. The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital but the details of the accident were still hazy.
Appearing on the TV show, Renner gave some insight into what actually went down. The actor revealed the terrible condition that the snowplow had left him in. During the talks, Renner revealed one very bloody and gory thing that people aren’t supposed to see.
[I] broke 38 bones. It was brutal. There was 14 breaks in the ribs, and you see your eye, with your other eye, because my eyeball was out.
Being taken care of in the ICU, Renner was operated on and recovered quickly with millions of fans praying for him. The actor was supposed to share the screen with Jimmy Fallon in January of 2023 but… better late than never.
On the professional side of things, Jeremy Renner is rumored to get back on track pretty soon. It is speculated that the actor will return to his role of Hawkeye and will make an appearance in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty however, the reports haven’t been confirmed.
