The iconic and long-running Fast and Furious franchise has always been able to rope in some of the biggest and most popular names available in the film industry and make them regulars in their films, which also famously includes Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs, first making his appearance in 2011’s Fast Five.

Since then, he had a recurring character in the cinematic universe, even getting his very own spin-off film in it. After the events of Fast X, the star was once again ready to make his presence felt with another spin-off film, which had a working title, Hobbs and Reyes. But now, new reports claim that the title of the upcoming film is set to change, and it may not be good news for Johnson.

With the release of Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw in 2019, it seemed as though Dwayne Johnson had taken his leave from the main franchise, last appearing in The Fate of the Furious. But fortunately, fans of the franchise and the star were both pleasantly surprised when he made his appearance again in the end-credit scenes in Fast X.

And ever since he made his long-awaited return, the news of an upcoming spin-off film that would connect the events of the latest film in the main series with the upcoming Fast 11 had been making the rounds with confirmation. The working title for the spin-off was Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Reyes, which would’ve pinned The Rock against Jason Momoa‘s Dante Reyes from the last film.

But now, a new exclusive report by industry insider Jeff Sneider, its revealed that the working title will not be what the final product would be titled as per his sources.

This sudden change in the title of the film has got fans worried, thinking that this alteration had been made because the Black Adam star’s contributions are going to be sidelined, especially after his feud with Vin Deisel made him originally leave the main series altogether.

Along with that, since this film will be the connecting anchor for the next film in the main franchise, Johnson being sidelined may also lead to him dropping out of Fast 11 entirely, which is the complete opposite of what the fans want.

What To Expect From Fast 11?

With the events of the last film in the main franchise, we saw how Reyes brought the entire family Toretto family to their knees, and towards the end, their fate was left hanging in the balance.

But towards the end, we were also greeted with new possibilities and were graced with familiar faces, making their reappearance in the franchise. And since new developments and many members of the gang are still alive and ready to kick some major butt, we can expect a lot of twists and turns that will turn the tide in their favor.
