The overall collection of Ezra Miller’s The Flash has been very disappointing, and it seems the film may not even reach the collection of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.

Ezra Miller’s The Flash collection to date

Ezra Miller’s solo franchise featuring some of the biggest names in the industry, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, has failed at the box office. Even the cameo of Hollywood star and former Batman, George Clooney could not save the franchise. The film had grossed $245 million worldwide until now with a production budget of $200-220 million. It has become one of the biggest failures in the cinematic world. As per the plot of the film, Barry Allen travels back in time to prevent his mother’s murder, however, messing with history brings unintended consequences. It unleashed the supervillain Zod and eliminated the metahumans. Barry Allen has to fight Zod with the help of his younger self, Supergirl, and the former Batman from another universe.

There are numerous reasons that could have led to the box office failure, including the poor screenplay, visual effects, and prior controversies surrounding the lead actor Ezra Miller. The film also faced multiple delays due to the pandemic and the numerous directorial edits. The film’s engagement has dropped by 67% and has earned a mere $5M in its 3rd box office week. The film has profited only $99M in total to date.

Reportedly, the collection of the film is even less than Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, which grossed $393 million.
