Dwayne Johnson is not interested in doing any more Superhero movies

In his interview with Variety, Dwayne Johnson broke his silence over the failure of one of his most passionate projects, Black Adam, and it appears that the actor is ready to leave it all behind. He expressed that they put all of their efforts to deliver the best movie for the fans and following its failure, he isn’t looking forward to starring in any superhero movie anytime soon.

The Rock was adamant about crafting the DC universe that would have revolved around his Black Adam and ultimately witness him taking on Henry Cavill’s Superman in the future. Dwayne Johnson can still return to the DCU

Even though Dwayne Johnson has expressed that he is done with the superhero genre for now, he didn’t brush off the possibility of him returning to the DCU in the future. Considering that the Black Adam star has previously shared his support for James Gunn’s new vision for the DCU, it seems that the actor is still open to the idea of returning to the role of Black Adam.

Although The Rock’s vision for the DC universe was eventually sidelined after the change in DC’s leadership, the actor has previously clarified that he doesn’t hold any grudges against the new management. Even though the actor isn’t currently in the mindset to do any superhero movies, considering that the DCU is still in its initial stages, we might get to witness Johnson’s return in the future of DCU.
