Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is no stranger to the world of superhero movies. Having debuted as Black Adam in the DCEU, there have been talks as well of his joining the MCU in the future. Whichever character he is going to play remains a mystery. On the other hand, his co-star Vanessa Kirby from Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw might join the franchise very soon.
The Fantastic Four reboot is now looking into the cast and gearing up for its MCU debut after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. Rumors of actors attached to the project have been circulating on social media, especially the film’s lead characters.
Vanessa Kirby Leads The Race On Fantastic Four Invisible Woman Casting
While the line-up is yet to be confirmed, fans have already seen campaigns online on who people want to play as the major characters in the Fantastic Four reboot. Sue Storm is one of the most popular female characters in Marvel, and everyone is excited to find out who the lucky actress will be. In the 2005 Fantastic Four film, the Invisible Woman portrayed by Jessica Alba.
Grace Randolph, a popular entertainment insider, revealed that one of the strongest contenders for the role is Vanessa Kirby. The award-winning Emmy-nominated star is known for her roles in The Crown and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
The insider also revealed that Kirby is Marvel Studios’ top choice, although they remain undecided. There are three more actresses in the queue: Mila Kunis, Allison Williams, and Jodie Comer.

Reports on Sue Storm’s casting came out after Adam Driver is reportedly eyed to play Reed Richards, the husband of Sue Storm and leader of the pack. The search for the cast commenced in February this year, and Marvel Studios reportedly planned to cast Sue Storm first before the rest of the gang, including Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing. There have been reports, as well, that the reboot movie will feature Galactus and Silver Surfer.
With Driver almost closing a deal and Kirby leading the race, it will only be a matter of time before they find actors for the rest of the team. As the main duo of the Fantastic Four, Richards and Storm require actors who can perfectly embody their characteristics and, at the same time, display chemistry on screen.

Will Vanessa Kirby And Dwayne Johnson Reunite In The MCU?
Fans would remember the disastrous reboot of 2015’s Fantastic Four which heavily bombed at the box office. To avoid this misfortune again, Kevin Feige and the whole team are thoroughly overseeing the casting for the movie. There is no certainty if they will hire highly-acclaimed actors or newcomers; either way, what’s important is to deliver the best performance and give justice to the story.
Many fans are also campaigning for The Rock to play Ben Grimm. Since the former wrestler has the stature and humor, he has a huge potential to land the part. This also means that if Kirby wins the race for the Invisible Woman role, the two Fast & Furious co-stars will reunite in their first-ever Marvel project.
Fantastic Four will arrive in theaters on February 14, 2025.
