Fans shipping characters together is nothing new, and they have every right to do so. Jujutsu Kaisen fans focus on a particular pairing of Itadori Yuji and Kugisaki Nobara due to their excellent chemistry and personality traits with each other and believe they can be a good couple.

However, due to the general theme of the story as well as the progression of events in the story, every hope of them coming together has been squashed. In a general sense, none of them need to be romantically involved with each other, as proven by Oda sensei in One Piece.

The romance theme would not suit Jujutsu Kaisen’s story due to its gore and dark storyline

Jujutsu Kaisen might have been the most deceiving anime of all time, due to the fact that the contrast between season 1 and season 2 is vast.

The first installment of the story made fans believe it would be a lighthearted comedy anime filled with action, but they were proven entirely wrong in the second season, which was filled with deaths.

The highlight of Season 1 was the leading trio, which consisted of Itadori, Megumi, and Nobara. Fans saw the connection between Itadori and Nobara as quite romantic.

Season 2 hinted at the love angle between Nobara and Itadori when she felt somewhat jealous during their confrontation with Yuko Ozawa.

However, their relationship was meant to be only friends, and as the story unfolds and the tragic events witnessed by both Itadori and Nobara, they are doubtful they can get together as a couple.

Oda sensei magnum opus is the prime example of this, as it strictly omits any kind of romance between the Straw Hats as he deems it unnecessary.

To write good female characters, the love angle is unnecessary, and One Piece has proven it by having one of the best female casts in the entire anime.

Nobara Kugisaki’s character journey did not have any romantic involvement

Shipping characters in anime is standard, as fans like to imagine a romantic angle between characters who may or may not get together.

However, Itadori and Nobara cannot become a couple mainly because of their different character traits.

As seen during her battle with Mahito, she was strong enough to do significant damage to him despite being alone and cornered.

Nobara’s popularity is due to her badass attitude and strength; through the series, she has shown that she is strong enough to hold her own without help from another male character.

Her character has been built upon rivalry, and a desire to grow strong, and a male character has not been a prominent part of her story throughout.
