Elden Ring is a game that allows its players to modify and customize their characters however they want, with the only limit being their imagination. This is made possible because of the colossal amount of weapons, incantations, armor, spells, and other elements available in the game for the player to choose from.

A few of these builds often turn out to be way too overpowered, making it seem like the game has been set on easy difficulty. One such build is where the player makes their character look like Guts, the main character of a popular manga and anime franchise, Berserk.

This build, which captures the essence of Guts quite perfectly, is used by a lot of players. As mentioned before, it not only helps in style points but also is quite overpowered, resulting in players using it to even complete the game as a whole occasionally.

How To Make A Berserker Guts Build In Elden Ring

If one wishes to make this build, they would most importantly need the Greatsword colossal weapon in the game. The weapon in itself would require the player to have the minimum stats of 31 strength and 12 dexterity. It would also deal more damage as the player levels up his strength stat, making it a great weapon of choice.

The player would also need to go after the Black Wolf Mask as well as the Night Cavalry armor set to get the fashion right. Some more items that would help nail the look and feel of Guts are the Heavy Misericode weapon, as well as talismans such as Shard of Alexander, Green Turtle Talisman, Carian Filgreed Crest, and Dagger Talisman to boost the attack damage done by the weapons.

What makes the Greatsword so iconic is the fact it looks somewhat like Gut’s weapon from Berserk, called The Dragonslayer. The build will not be complete without obtaining this particular weapon, which can be found inside a chest in the back of a carriage in Caelid.

This particular weapon remains the main focus of our build, as its ash of war is what makes the build overpowered in the first place. The Lion’s Claw ash of war as well as the Flames of Redmades makes it a perfect weapon to use against a singular boss or multiple enemies respectively.

What Are Some Other Berserk References In Elden Ring

It is not only the Greatsword that the fans have found to be similar between the game and the Berserk franchise. There are many other elements in Elden Ring that the players speculate have been inspired by the famous manga series.

One such reference is the Sword Graveyards found in the game, which seem to represent The Hill Of Swords in Berserk. It is even said that the boss of Radahn in the game seems to have been inspired by The Supreme King Gaiseric in the Berserk Franchise, with the most obvious similarity between the two characters being their armor.

There is a great amount of references that seem to have been taken from the famous manga franchise. This can also be because the author of Berserk, Kentaro Miura, unfortunately, passed away when the game was in development, causing Hidetaka Miyazaki to put in a few references as a tribute to the mangaka.

Elden Ring is available to purchase on Steam.
